Pedro’s Students Shine at a NJ Tournament

December 4: Patterson, NJ – This past weekend 13 members of Pedro’s Judo Center in Wakefield, MA competed in the 6th Northeast Open Judo Championship held by Camal Judo Club in Patterson, NJ. The team won 8 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze medals, in addition to two outstanding competitor awards.
The team is coached by two-time olympic bronze medalist and former world champion, Jimmy Pedro.

Jimmy’s son, AJ Pedro, won his division in the boys 6-9 years old age group, and was named the outstanding competitor for this age group.
Meghan Arena won her division in the girls 10-12 years old age group, and was also named the outstanding competitor for this age group.
